Some random reading for you this week:
- If you'd been following the whole Rupert Murdoch-Phone Hacking-Parliament hearing-NOTW fallout last week, and you caught wind of the incident when someone smacked Murdoch with a plate full of shaving cream (how the hell did someone sneak that into the hearings?), then you might be interested to read this profile on Murdoch's young wife (who jumped the shaving cream attacker like Secret Service) from 2000, which Rupert was not happy about...
- NPR has an interesting piece about Tinnitus - you know, the piercing frequency that lingers in your ear after you leave a loud show in a small club?
- And finally, a piece about the cyber war arms race from Business Week. Did anyone else catch the news that a foreign government hacked into military databases and wandered through them cherry pickin' intel for several months before being discovered? That was something that got buried amidst Michelle Bachmann's migraines and News of the World, but it seems scary and relevant.
