Nigerian Hip Hop 1981-1991
This is a pretty incredible audio document - a mixtape representing the first ten years of Nigerian hip hop. It's amazing to think that the art form was barely recognized in America in '81, but was already being pursued across the ocean. Follow the OkayAfrica link for tracklist + more info.
