Nottz has made beats for all sorts of heads - Busta Rhymes and Snoop among them - but he's on some Kanye stee, get in the door with hot beats then break out with the rhymes. This is one of two singles off his new solo project, and definitely the stronger of them..."Shine So Bright" is just too Dilla-centric, doesn't matter if he's your homeboy or not, don't jock someone that hard in a single. We need to know who you are. This other joint, "Cars," is super smooth. Can't check dude on his beats. His rhymes, eh...passable...
In total though, it works.
