"Charlie Sheen"
A couple of weeks ago, Savannah's MC/Producer-extraordinaire Maf dropped this "Charlie Sheen" track, and it's ridiculous. Well, apparently, today, MTV found it and deemed it buzzworthy.

S.A.M. - Swag Shop
Maf and Smooth collab as S.A.M. and this track "Swag Shop" is just about the most Cadillac-ready piece of slickness I've heard in a while...Go ahead and drive slow to this. Creases so sharp you'll cut yourself.

Maf - Circa '78
Maf is one the illest in Savannah. His crates are deep, the beats are off the chain and he can spit something fierce. He shows his distinctly southern roots, but pays serious tribute to classic hip hop's recipe of banging, soul-heavy beats with intelligent flows and some boasting.
Maf - "Tears" featuring Nom and Ko - banging hip hop, dope sample-heavy beat built on soul vocalizations, horn stabs and twinkling chimes.
Maf - "New Hearthrob" - this is some next level music - blurring the lines between hip hop, pop and Stax-era rhythm & blues.

Maf - Death of Charles (Exhibit C Freestyle)
Sorry for the hiatus this week, it's getting hectic with the PROJECTS 4 release coming up soon, and planning for SUAF. But I'm coming back with some serious heat for you.
Maf (short for Mafamadix) is one of Savannah's realest hip hop heads. Earlier this week he played this for the AWOL office via Skype, and I had to get him to send over a copy. He take this Jay Electronica/Just Blaze beat from "Exhibit C" and just tears it up. It's probably the hardest I've ever heard him spit.
"I've got middle class money with Sean Carter intentions."

Maf's Death of the Arcade

Maf is one of Savannah's truest hip hop heads. He's got crazy swagger on the mic and his crates are so deep. I've tried to put him on to things that I thought no one knew, but he's always a step ahead. He dropped this Death of the Arcade mixtape a couple months ago, and it's been steadily in rotation on the iPod ever since. Maf's holding down the beats as well as the mic, and his style manages to be both classic (in an early 90s/Golden Era sense) and distinctly southern (check those drums), which he makes seem effortless (the definition of real swagger).
bust it (real) - Maf
The majority of tracks on Death of the Arcade are fire, a nice blend of tightly spun, contemplative joints and upbeat bangers. There's a couple tracks I'm not afraid to skip, just not my taste, but this joint is a hint at bigger things to come when his new album drops later this spring. Check out some of the new tracks on his myspace.
