Very chill EP from Mo Kolours that touches on some dub, broken beat and sundry other influences. This one is for early summer hard chilling - cocktails and bocce ball - and that sort of thing.

Christmas with Lee Perry

Dub legend Lee "Scratch" Perry is hitting the road for a US Tour, and he's got a new song - that's surprisingly hard, considering his old school stylee - called "Santa Claus".  It's just right for certain holiday occasions.

He just put out an album this year called Repetance, and it was his 54th record! Damn. That's a lot of records. He started making ska in the 50s. He never really stopped. Bravo.  

The tour is limited, to say the least, but if you are in the area of one of these, get irie for the evening.

Respect the Foundation

Here's a nice little video talking about the transition from Dub to Dubstep, following Lee Scratch Perry, on his journey from founding one genre, to starting to participate in its bastard offspring. (hint: it then turns into a promo for the new Jahdan Blakkamoore album, but he's pretty awesome, so that's not a huge downside.)
