ST 2 Lettaz

Drift to this. Realest space raps you ever heard. 1/2 of G-Side. Block Beattaz on the track. Lot of people sleeping on Huntsville.

"Money in the Sky"

I can't get enough of these guys... This was recorded over the course of a day in Norway...and it's better than what most folks are doing in a month of sessions...The beat shuffles along beneath thick stand-up bass plucks and a somber piano line. Then the hook drops like a lost Goodie Mob B-side...G-Side is killing it.

G-Side "Island"

The new album from the Huntsville, AL duo is up on their bandcamp page. If you like real hip hop, don't think the South is only serving up K.R.I.T. to rattle the wood paneling in your caddy. These guys are on next - even NPR gives them shine. Definitely give "Look Up" a listen...

G-Side "Gettin' It"

Fader premiered this crisp rider from Huntsville, Alabama duo G-Side. It's called "Gettin' It" and features cameos from Stalley and Joi Tiffany. [explosion sounds].

G-Side

The other day I was thinking about how K.R.I.T. was probably my favorite rapper in the South at the moment. Then, G-Side's "Came Up" arrived, and while this Huntsville, AL duo haven't taken the top spot, they are definitely worth adding to the list of folks who are doing really good music. This beat is unexpected to say the least - classical violin spreading its wings over a beat that doesn't need burning hi-hats or an 808 sub - not the traditional Southern take at all. The second verse sort of reminds me of the way Apani flowed on Doom/Vik Vaughn's Vaudeville Villain
