Obey City

Knock knock.

"Gammalon"

HPrizm goes to the omega level. Be patient. Enjoy the visuals.

Tune is from a Concrete Soundsystem compilation. Check it out.

"Life & the Living of"

Maf's in beast mode. Real hip hop.

Bueller? Anyone?

EtcEtcEtc + Brillz + Diplo riffing on the infamous "Yeah" by Yello. BTW - Yello might be best known for that tune, but they made some incredible early electro-industrial stuff too. Don't sleep.

Download some tracks here.

The Underachievers

Super duty classic sounds from the new East Coast. Ride to some mellow horns.

Giraffage

Rising West Coast producer. He's at the Larimer in Denver on 9/5 with some of the guys from Dirty//Clean. Lower your blood pressure with this one.

"Black Lip Bastard" (Black Hippy Remix)

Ruffneck like old Wu. Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q.

Kuhn "Even Bears"

Listening to this on laptop speakers would not be the thing to do.

Uptown XO "Errybody"

New hotness from 1/3 of Diamond District. Banger. New album coming soon.

Aleon Craft "Good Morning World"

Yup. The really real South. SMKA on the beat. The homie Sean Fahie doing his thing on the canvas. What's good in the A.

Checkers "Harlem World Mixtape"

Not exactly sure how the title relates to the mix, but regardless this is a nice downtempo bass mix. A real nice weekend wind-down. Back to work.

Gaslamp Killer "Flange Face"

Super tough.

His new album is out in mid-September.

Mohegan Son

Minimalism and modernity.

Lower Entrance "Mass Production EP"

Really digging this. Starts mellow, picks up in the middle, all futuristic with respect for the past.

Check out the whole ep

Snubluck "Square Wave Phonetic"

Next level.

Kid Hum

Slow ride beats. Wait for the drop.

Free download of the whole album. Also check out his more recent Beet Tape, which is more synth-based.

B.Lewis

The SF-based producer's new album is chock-full of slippery experimental beats.

Check out all of A Lion's Aperture

Hebermehl x Dr. Z

Cool visuals by two of my favorite artists.

Blackrune

A new project from Paul Goerner, sometimes also known as Magic Places. He's got a new EP that leaves behind the atmospheric electronics for a distinctly more introspective project. Lots of hypnotic guitar tones (grungy-Morricone vibe) pair with streams of bass and layers of pads to create slow-building, ponderous tracks that pair well with driving through desolate regions, or reading something intense on an otherwise relaxing day.

Also, check out the sweet remix I did that was on his 2071 EP a few years ago.
